TUSB8040A1 replacement

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB8040A1, TUSB8041

Hello,

The TUSB8040A1RKMR is listed as NRND. Please confirm that this is correct. I have information that this is being replaced by TUSB8041RGCR which is not p2p compatible but has SAME functionality. Do you have any documentation comparing the two so that a customer moving from the 8040 can migrate to the 8041?

Thanks very much.

  • Hi Faizul,

It's correct, TUSB8040A1 is set as NRND since TUSB8041 has better performance and ease of design due to its package with less pins, please visit our SharePoint by typing HSI/ on your browser and go to "Downloads" --> "Product Documentation" --> "TUSB Devices" --> "TUSB8041"
There you will be able to find layout guide, design guide and other useful files.
There's also useful presentations on HSI presentations link.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Regards.
    JC
