Can SN65DSI84 work with DS90UB947?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65DSI84

Hi,

Can SN65DSI84 work with DS90UB947 to transfer MIPI DSI 1080p 60fps signals into FPD Link?

There are two clocks from SN65DSI84, but DS90UB947 has only one clock input, can I connect one clock of SN65DSI84 with DS90UB947? Thank you very much!

 Below link is for SN65DSI84.

  • Hello Wayne,

    Yes, the SN65DSI84 should work.

Theoretically, the CLK distribution should be nearly identical between two LVDS interfaces since  both LVDS CLKS are generated from one CLK source so they are the same between two as the datasheet says.  The skew is possible due to other mismatches but should not be greater than 10ps.

For the unused LVDS clock output pair, they have to terminate the signals  using a 100 ohm load.

    Regards
