Sergio,

Yes, connect the thermal pad to GND. See the Ref Design: www.ti.com/tool/TIDA-00193 and the schematic: http://www.ti.com/lit/pdf/tidr481 .

I'm not sure why this is not defined in the datasheet, and I will address this to the Product Group.
