Replacement part of SN65LV1224BDB ? -- Post again.

  Good day to you.

  Please advise what MPN can be used to replace the SN65LV1224BDB.

  Because the SN65LV1224BDB is indicated "Lifebuy" in TI website. So I would like to look for the pin to pin replacement part here.

    Hi Weiji,

    The DS92LV1224 is a pin-to-pin compatible device that can be used in place of the SN65LV1224B. However, it is not a completely functional equivalent, as the SN65LV1224B features some enhancements such as a fast-lock synchronization mode.

    8/19/2016 Correction:

    - After reading through both datasheets, the method of synchronization mode for the DS92LV1224 and SN65LV1224B appear to be identical. However, the SN65LV1224B still features enhancements, such as wider clock support (10-66 MHz instead of 30-66 MHz) and multiple package options.

      How about MPN SN65LV1224B-EP? Can it be used for replacement of SN65LV1224B? The status of SN65LV1224B-EP is Active.

    Hi WeiJi,

    Yes, the SN65LV1224B-EP can be considered a replacement of the SN65LV1224B. However, please note that since it is an Enhanced Product, it will come at a significant increase in price per chip. In the "Sample & Buy" tab of the SN65LV1224B device, the table shows that the recommended replacement for this catalog device is the DS92LV1224TMSA.
