TUSB4020BI compliance test

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB4020BI

Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

We have use TUSB4020BI,  will do TUSB4020BI compliance test.

We sure have input, after passing TUSB4020BI, there are no output now.

I'm not sure have any control or setting need config?

By the way, we saw the pin10 is test pin, Should we need use this??

Looks pin 10 is for factory use, what is this pin function and how to use it??

Could you help review schematic again and share experience for us??

Many thanks for your kindly help

Schematic as below:

  • Hello,
Can you elaborate more on what type of compliance test you are doing? What exactly do you mean by "...there are no output..."
TEST terminal is for Texas Instruments factory use, you should pull this terminal down for normal operation.

  • Hi Elias,

    Thanks for your reply.

We would like to do USB compliance test as below

    We have tooling can test.

The OS is Linux, actually we only could use Linux.

We could read/write by USB Flash Drive. It's normal working.

But in USB compliance test, we sure there have input signal from TUSB4020B, but no waveform at TUSB4020B output.

    The signal like as below

Total have four USB road, we use to comment USB2.0.

The USB3.0 Port is normal send waveform at USB compliance test

    But after pass TUSB4020B, It's doesn't work.

It's surprise me because USB2.0 port could read/write, but couldn't send waveform under compliance test.

We would like to know how to fix this issue and how to do USB compliance test. at TUSB4020B ??

  • Hi Sir,

    Sorry for push.

Because it's a little urgent case.

I'm not sure the information I described is clear for you, wait for you reply.

    Thank you very much.

  • Hello,
The USB3.0 compliance patters will not pass-through a USB2.0 Hub.
Are you sure you are sending USB2.0 compliance packets?
Does the TUSB4020B in normal operation (when you are not running compliance tests)
If the Hub works fine in normal operation, then I think the problem is with your test software, do you have a TUSB4020B evaluation board?
