Repeater for the AURORA interface of Kintex7 ?

Hi team,

My customer is urgently looking for a repeater to be suppored of AURORA interface of Kintex7 in their ultraound system.  The basic information is as follows.

      - PCIe interface with 6.4Gbps.

       - 4ch repeater

First, we need to consider about DS100BR410 (4ch-repeater) on this appliation because it can be suppored up to 10.3125Gbps but not sure if this device is a best solution

Do you have any solution to be employed on Kintex7 interface ? Can you help us to find out best solution to use it on their application?

    Hi Tony,

    For a "PCIe" application I would recommend using one of the following devices DS80PCI800, DS80PCI810, DS80PCI402, or similar depending on the number of lanes in the design.  I do not see any issues with Aurora - it is either 8B/10B or 64/66B encoded based on the datasheet.  The transceivers and repeaters should be AC coupled to each other.

    How many channels are used on the interface?

    What is the approximate loss or attenuation in the channel?

    Where in the channel will the repeater be placed. 

    These questions should help us figure out the most optimum device for the application.
