We've just received an EOL notice for part number TLK1221 with the recommended replacement to be TLK2201.

Can the TLK2201BIRCP which supports data rates from 1.2 Gbps through 1.6 Gbps ... be clocked down the support the slower / previous part?

    Hi Jamie,

    The data rates that are specified in datasheet includes data from characterization, I mean, these data rates were tested in the lab, so, if you try to use in slower data rates, it could be work but I can not ensure the correct behavior of the device, this is the reason that datasheet specifies the operating modes.
