Hi,

i have two questions about the TUSB8020B. Please help. Thanks!

1. TUSB8020B already have basic FW insdie chip to make TUSB8020B work normally? I2C and EEPROM is not a must. Right?

2. If customer need to change the TUSB8020B configuration, is it ok to connect I2C to EC for later configuration? They don't want to use EEPROM.

Hello,

1 The TUSB8020B does not have and does not require firmware, the external EEPROM is optional, the hub can fully work without eeprom.

2. The Hub supports configuration through a SMBus host.

Thanks for your response! Another two questions need to check with u. Thanks!

1. TUSB8020B EVM adotes LDO LM3674 for 1.1 power rail. Is it a must to use LDO for a dc-dc also ok?

2.Do we have USB3.1 GEN2 HUB device on roadmap?

Hello,
A dc-to-dc converter can be used as long as the ripple is within +/-2% across frequencies.
