SN75LVCP600S OOB waveforms

Hi,

We have some questions about SN75LVCP600S waveforms during OOB, could you please help to explain the behaviors? Thanks for your support!

Please find the system diagram and the test points at TX below, (TP3 in Green is Input and TP5 in Yellow is output)

Question #1:

This is a full view of 1st OOB burst packet. Could you please explain why the patterns look not the same between the redriver input and output?

Zoom in the capture: why is TP5/ the output signal pattern not the same with TP3/ the input signal pattern?

Question#2: we found some ringing in the end of the last/6th OOB burst packet. Why? Is it a normal behavior? Thanks!

Hi Sam,

For question #1, there is an auto-low power exit time which can take from 20-40ns, this is why the waveforms are different (Looks like ~40ns delay before the 600S is enabled).

For question #2, looks to be reflections at the end of the waveform, this could be caused by a mismatch in the termination where the signal is being measured.
