[TPS65982] UserVIDAltModeOtherVDM Event

Customer reported that the behavior of UserVIDAltModeOtherVDM is different from firmware v1.11.04 and v1.11.05 version. Could you confirm if this is expected behavior?

FW v1.11.04

UserVIDAltModeOtherVDM Bit[59] of IntEvent(0x15h) is set only when Unstructured VDM is received.

FW v1.11.05

UserVIDAltModeOtherVDM Bit[59] of IntEvent(0x15h) is set when Discover Modes, Enter Mode and Unstructured VDM are received.

We provided I2C capture data on customer in separate email.

Considering the development schdule on customer (going to fix their EC firmware very soon), I appreciate if you give us a feedback as soon as possible.

Hi Fukui,

It's an expected behaviour in FW v.1.11.05.
The Bit[59] of IntEvent(0x15) will be set whenever Enter Mode, Exit Mode, Discover Modes and Unstructured VDMs are received.

I would like to confirm that the behvaior on FW 1.11.04 is not expecting behavior, so you had modify the firmware. Is my understanding correct?

Does this modification described in Release note?
