Hello community,

I am looking to add a ser/des to an existing camera setup to extend the distance between the camera sensor and processing unit. The camera we are currently using is a Sony FCB-MA130 (linked brochure below). As you can see, the sensor uses a 81MHz 3.3v 16bit Parallel (Y/Cb/Cr 4:2:2) interface along with i2c control bus. I have looked though the TI ser/des products and I think the DS90UB925/926 parts are what I am looking for. Can anyone confirm/deny this? Or is there a better solution for my needs.

Hi Ward,

From your description and from a quick inspection of the datasheet, yes, the DS90UB925/926 is the most appropriate device for this application. What application space are you planning to use this device for? Is it automotive or some other industrial application?

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your response verifying compatibility. We will start development utilizing these parts for our testing/prototype.
We plan on using these parts for an industrial machine vision application.

Thanks for the information. I am curious about industrial applications for the DS90UB925/926 and DS90UB921-Q1 type devices, as our team is currently exploring the generation of an industrial-grade version of these automotive devices.
