Hi Team,

I can not find the answer in the TPS65982 datasheet or EVM user guide that why the S1 DIP switch can control the configuration of TPS65982. What is the mechanism?

Nic,

There is special FW installed on the TPS65982-EVM that is shipped to customers. After BOOT, this special FW configures GPIO1, DEBUG3, and DEBUG4 as Inputs, determines if they are Low (0) or High (1) and re-configures the settings of the TPS65982 to match the table.

When new FW, configured for a specific application, is written over the default EVM FW then the S1 Switch Bank is not used to select the Configuration of the TPS65982.
