Single ended signal to LVDS:

When I input 80Mhz clock 50-50 duty cycle. LVDS output has a Duty cycle of approximately 55-45. is this normal behavior?

Hi Bob,

This is a legacy part and we are looking into this device's expected behavior. Do you have scope shots to show the behavior as well as a schematic of the connection on the LVDS side? I just wanted to verify that the voltage levels are appearing as expected and the LVDS output waveform shape appears correct.

Hi Bob,

Is your input signal 0 - 5V or 0 - 3V? The input threshold for the DS90C031 is ~ 1.5V. If a 0 - 5V signal is used, it will tend to cause some duty cycle distortion as the frequency increases.
