SN65LV1023 LVDS cable plug in spike and DC offset

Dear Team:

  Customer used SN65LV1023, and gotspike waveform as CAT 5 cable  (LVDS signla ) plug in.

The  red block is cable plug in waveform.

The spike seems damaged SN65LV1023, and need your help to explain :1. why so high spike appeared? 2. Why plug in cable, DC offset to 3.3V ?
