HD3SS214 contradiction regarding AUX_SEL

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HD3SS214

Hi,

currently I trying to figure out how to use the HD3SS214 in a DP++ application. At the bottom of page 12 the datasheet describes that AUX_SEL pin controls whether AUXC is connected to AUXB or AUXB:

"...  when AUX_SEL = 0 the AUXA channel will be routed to AUXC, when AUX_SEL = 1 the AUXB channel will be routed to AUXC. "

This statement is contrary to table 1 on page 10. As far as I understand the table, the A/B selection of the Aux channel is also made using the Dx_SEL input. AUX_SEL is used to select whether we want to connect DDC or AUX to the AUX pins of Port C. From the table I understand, that I want to use my CA_DET signal to control the AUX_SEL input.

Do you also see the contradiction? Is it possible that the statement at the bottom of page 12 is wrong or misinterpreted by me?Which one shoud I trust, the table, or the statement on page 12?

Thanks in advance
Simon
