My design is connect a external pcie card to desktop pc pcie slot via one meter long cable .

can i use SN75LVPE802 both at external pcie card and desktop pc's pcie convert card to get the better performance?

and can i use SN75LVPE802 only to receive remote transmit signals , and let local transmit signals bypass the SN75LVPE802 ?

Hi WangYan,

SN75LVPE802 has both Rx and Tx channels, 2m cable would be too much in the output trace.

You may need to take a look at LVPE801 and place them after 2m cable
