Design for CML communication system with Hot-Swap

Dear Sir,

Our customer try to design CML communication system with Hot-Swap by using buffer IC DS15BA101. The bandwith is 1.23GHz. Could you please advise what device they should use for Hot-Swap? They are considering SPST analog switch or eFuse. If you have any idea, please let us know. Thank you for your kind advice.

    Masaoki,

    There are several types of external components which can help support a hot swap application.  What are the requirements during switch-over?  From a reliability perspective, a cable can be connected / disconnected from the BA101 at any time.
