Alpine Ridge with TPS65982 FW

Team customer is using Alpine Ridge and TPS65982 on Thunderbolt PC project.

customer is using POC_GPIO_3(TB_FORCE_PWR) pin of Alpineridge to activate Alpine Ridge externally without device would be attached. (Asserting 'high' to enable Alpine Ridge)

after they update the merged FW with updated PD FW V1.11.05 from V1.7.6, this external pin is not working.

I don't see any direct reason for this with PD FW but am seeking any idea for this from TBT design expert.

do you see any possible reason for this is not working?

once attaching any device on the port one time, this TB_FORCE_PWR is working from then.

can you assign the Thunderbolt expert to discuss this?

Hi Atiq,

It seems this is affected by ResetZ and there is no power up on the pin VOUT_3V3 after power on.

can you state how to enable VOUT_3V3 on the configuration tool?

Hi Andrew,

On the system configuration page, select the lock VOUT_3V3.
