TMDS181 schematic review

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMDS181

Hi team,

My customer, CVT, plans to use TMDS181 in their education product . Could you please help review the schematic? Thanks.

  • Hi Voi Liu,

First of all, there is no internal forum anymore, if yo want to share schematics or layout you may want to send these files via email or place a HelpMe ticket.

Schematic looks good, I just have some comments:
You could add 10pF and 4.7pF to each power supply node to improve high frequency noise performance.
Value of OE cap depends on Vdd/Vcc ramps, just take into account you may need to change it for a higher value.

    Why R22, R23, R26, R27, R28, R33, R34, R35, R36 are 5.1 ohms instead of 0 ohms?
Why there are 0 ohms resistors on HDMI lanes?
    Recommended value for R31, R32 is 47k

    Regards
  • Hi Moises,

Thanks for your reminder. Customer are using 5.1 Ohm just in case of noise interference on the long wire, are these resistors OK?

0 Ohm resistors are used on HDMI lanes for easy debug.

I can see the short circuit current of control pins is 50mA. So i think 2kOhm is OK, also the noise immunity is enhanced.

    Thanks again for your help.

    Best regards,

    Vio Liu
