DP83867 default polarity of LED_0, 1,2

The datasheet describes the default polarity of LED_0, 1 and 2 in part of "LED Configuration Resister2".  The default is active high.

When user set mode4 for the LED pins as the strap function, is the default polarity automatically changed to active low?  Or user have to change the register bit value of LED_x_POLARITY?

Best Regards

  • Hi,

Yes, you are correct. The LED pins have polarity detection. When you strap the pin HIGH, the active state will thus be LOW.

When you strap LOW the active state will be HIGH. You do not need to make any register changes for proper operation because it is done automatically.

    Kind regards,
