What's the temperature of TUSB8020 on the TUSB8020EVM while it is working?

For your reference, the Tcase on the EVM is around 40 C, however, Tcase will highly depend on your implementation. 50C does seems a little bit high though.

Are they grounding the thermal pad? 

What is the current consumption of the Hub?

The grounding looks OK, how are they measuring the temperature? What is the current consumption of the hub?

the current of 3.3V power is 60-70mA
the current of 1.1V power is 370mA

The temperature measuring tool is handed IR temperature measuring tool.

We just received the EVM of TUSB8020, its temperature is OK, about 30+ degrees. And I found the device marking of TUSB8020 on the EVM are different from ours.

The device marking on the EVM is PT8020BXI.

The device marking on our board is T8020BI.

I have no idea about the difference of these two markings. So what's the difference between these two P/N. And where can i get some pieces of samples of PT8020BXI.

BTW, I searched the device marking PT8020BXI on ti.com. But didn't find a result.

What is the "failure rate", meaning, the units that present high temp?
The "PTUSB" unit installed on the EVM is not for sale but they does not have any special feature that the ones you have don't.

It is probably that you have a short on the thermal pad.
Can you provide the gerber files or the layout?
Have you swapped a "high temp" part with a "non high temp" one?
Does the issue follows the part?
