DP83867IRPAP VDD1P1 at 100BASE-TX

Hello,

It is possible to power DP83867IRPAP VDD1P1 at 1.0 V if only 100BASE-TX is used? I do not have 1.1 V available in my design and I cannot use the QFN package.

Hello Francesco,

The DP83867IRPAP was not characterized with a 1.0V supply like the QFN devices.

For a sound design, 1.0V is too low for the IRPAP without thorough testing on your end. The use of 100base-tx only would not reduce the requirement of the 1.1V supply.

Why could you not use a 10/100 PHY like the DP83822?

Hello Rob,

Thank you for the quick answer. I selected the DP83867IRPAP because I was told there is a very similar rad-hard version available. Do you have any rad-hard 10/00 PHY available?

Hi Francesco,

Ah, this makes sense. No, we do not have a rad-hard 10/100 PHY.

You will have to provide a 1.1V +/- 5% supply to the QFP device in this case.
