DP83630 on LC435X Launchpad

Hi,

We are using the LC435X Launchpad and getting some errors that we feel are because of the on board PHY.

What types of issues may cause false carrier sense counter 0x14 and receive error counter reg 0x15 to increment?

    Hi Wes,

    Both of the errors you are indicating come from issues with the cable side of the PHY. There could be a number of reasons for false carrier or RX_error. Most have to do with supply noise, MDI layout, MDI schematics, or issues with the attached link partner's signaling.

    Can you share a schematic along with the link partner you are using.
