Hi Team,

my customer used the TPS65982 configuration (82) X2 version1.76 firmware for their current production NBPC system, and their system setting that when system enter the S4 hibernation mode, the TPS65982 VBUS and the 3V3 are off. However, they got a problem, when the system resume back, the behavior of the resume is like S5 wake up. So, customer is asked if version 1.76 firmware will cause any power drop or switch or altering mode change?

Also, they want to know how to set the sleep mode configuration on version 1.76? Any suggestion or description for each sleep mode configuration setting? Please advise. Thanks.

    Hi Arthur,

    Please advise the customer to move to the latest firmware and see if the behavior exists.

    On a side note if the EC sets the power state before the VIN_3V3 rails it will not stay in sleep when it powers back up due to the TPS65982 will reload its firmware. The EC would have to re configure the power state in that case.
