TMDS181 team,

Can you give advice on the SIG_EN pin use? The datasheet suggests that having it pulled up might mean you will not pass HDMI compliance tests. Would having SIG_EN pulled high also mean that there are HDMI devices in the field that might not be recognized by the TMDS181?

Hi Darren,

setting SIG_EN = HIGH may lead to failures in HDMI2.0 CTS because of the time it takes to enter and exit standby mode, in normal operation HDMI source will send a valid clock all the time and HDMI receiver will be receiving the video without taking into account the time it takes to get a valid clock.
