DP83822 hardware bootstrap resistor configuration setting

Hi Team,

customer is evaluate the DP83822 device, and they want to know how many hardware strap pins need to be setting and how to set the pull up/pull down resistors pin for their below application requirement. Please share one example of the hardware strap pins setting like below customer application for reference. Thanks.

1. 10/100M BASE-T

2. RMII

3. IP-CAM application

    Hi Arthur,

    Please see the DP83822 Datasheet (Page 44) for bootstrap explanation and configuration.

    For the above application, here are my suggestions:
    1. 10/100 Auto-Negotiation (No external bootstrap needed, use default setting)
    2. RMII (Is this Master or Slave RMII? For Slave, set RX_DV to mode 4 by using an external 2.49k pull-up resistor)
    3. IP-CAM application (not sure what you would like different for this?)
