DS92LX1621/2 I2C data transfer

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LX1621

Hello everybody.

I have the next schema:

I2C(master) -- DS92LX1621/2 -- device(0x42, slave)

Do i need to adjust DS92LX1621/2 before start to communicate with the device?

Thank you.

  • Hi Viktor,

It depends on how you are connecting the device. Are you operating in camera mode (deserializer is local slave, serializer is master proxy) or display mode (serializer is local slave, deserializer is master proxy)?

If you are operating in camera mode, please refer to the "REMOTE WAKE UP (Camera Mode)" section in the datasheet in order to wake up the serializer from standby mode. You will not need to do this step if you are operating in display mode.

In addition, if you are operating in camera mode, you may also need to consider setting up Slave ID matching and aliasing, especially if you will have multiple remote slave devices with the same address (see Figure 30 in the datasheet). If you are in display mode, you can use I2C pass-thru to support access to multiple devices with the same address. From your brief description, my guess is that you do not have this requirement.

    Regards,

    Michael
