Hello,

I have a question to ask about LMH0344.

Part Number LMH0344 updated new datasheet version with TI trademark recently, compared with previous datasheet vision, Input Inductance Value changed from 6.8nH to 3.9nH, so I want to know the reason for the change.

Attachment is the two version datasheet. thanks very much!

Hi Leo,

The value was updated in our latest datasheet to match the value of the inductor that was used to characterize our device.

If you are still in the selection phase of the cable EQ, I also recommend that you take a look at the LMH0384. This device has better cable reach for HD rates and is pin-to-pin compatible with the LMH0344.

Thanks, That means the new value of the inductor is more matching LMH0344, isn't it?

We have already used the LMH0344 based on the old datasheet from NS.

Hi Leo,

Yes, that is correct. You can still use the value of the inductor recommended in the previous datasheet. Ultimately, it is important that, with the return-loss network you design in your system, that you have enough return-loss margin for SMPTE requirements and can also achieve the desired amount of cable reach.
