Can TPS25740 USB PD charger get the USB PD certification?

TPS25740 supports 5V/12V/20V.

However according to PD2.0 rev 1.2 power rule,

Sources offering more than 15W shall advertise 5V and 9V.
Sources offering more than 27W shall advertise 5V, 9V and 15V.
Sources offering more than 45W shall advertise 5V, 9V, 15V and 20V

If TPS25740 is used as a source only USB PD device and the source capability has more than 15W, can the PD device get the USB PD certification?

TPS25740A can advertise 5V/9V; 5V/9V/15V

For 5V/9V/15V/20V advertisement, we'll have a new part coming out soon.

TPS25740 is USB PD certified. Yet your end product still needs to pass certification. Using TPS25740 in your product can definetly help you get certificaiton easier.

Hi,

TPS25740 was certified before the release of PD2.0 rev 1.2 and does not meet the new power rule.

So I don't think that TPS25740 product can be certified now.

For our customers who need 5/9/15/20V and USB certification, I think we need to recommend the next TPS2574x device.
