DisplayPort ESD protection layout

Hello,

Can you give me your opinion on this ESD protection layout?  The striped wire and the one running parallel to it are the primary signal lines I'm concerned with.

I'm wondering if the small traces from the connector (top) to the ESD protection device (middle right) would be improved by making them wider.

To give you a little background, this is an ESD protection scheme from a customer, and they say our part (which is down-stream from the ESD protection) is failing an 8kV ESD test.  Any improvements / recommendations would be appreciated.  Please feel free to email me direct as I can't discuss too many details on the public forum.

  • Emrys-

Thanks for your question. I've sent you an email here as I'll need to know some higher level system information in order to help troubleshoot your customers problem.

    Thanks,
