DS25BR100 AC coupling

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS25BR100

Hi,

I'm currently simulating  the DS25BR100 output pins connected to another DS25BR100 input pins with a 100nF coupling capacitors in between their +ve and -ve signal lines using their IBIS models

The waveform simulated is as shown below. May I know if this is normal? Because we are expecting both the signal to be overlapping with each other as in a differential signal. The waveform stay the same in regards of the DC bias level.

The waveform returns to normal when the coupling capacitors are removed as shown below

Hope you can help the soonest. Thanks!

  • Hi

Sorry for the delay.  The DS25BR1xx IBIS information is gathered assuming a DC coupled net.  If you can set initial conditions around the capacitor or use an ideal inductor to force the starting voltage to 1.2V you should be able to get the waveforms to cross.  Alternately placing 100K resistors in parallel with the AC coupling caps could work as well.

    Regards

    Lee
