TCA6424A decoupling capacitor

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TCA6424A

Hi,

Can you please suggest us the number and value of de-coupling capacitors required at VCCI and VCCP pins of TCA6424A device?

Regards,

Raja

  • Raja,

The decoupling caps are mainly for filtering out noise, and typically there are 2 electrolytic capacitors used. These typical values are 1uF and 0.1 uF.

You will want to have these placed as physically close to each pin as possible.

The idea is that the 1 uF helps with larger current surges, and the 0.1 uF will help filter out higher frequency noise from the supply.
