Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65982
Hi Team,
my customer implement two TPS65982 devices to support two type C ports on their NBPC system, they found when plug a type C device(USB2, USB3, HDD) to the primary port after system OS boot up, it has VBUS: 5V but not recognize the type C device. However, if they plug the same type C device to the secondary port, it has not problem. After that, they remove the type C device from secondary port and plug it again to primary port, the primary port function became no problem and the type C device can be recognized.
The system environment is based on OS: Win10 RS1, Intel Alpine Ridge C version controller, the TPS65982 firmware version is V2.10 and the Alpine Ridge firmware is NVM 9. Note that when they change the TPS65982 firmware back to version 1.76 to merge with NVM 9, there is no this primary port detection problem.
Please help to advise if this problem is related to the TPS65982 firmware setting or related to the NVM firmware version?
Thanks.
Regards,
Arthur
