TUSB7320 AUX, clock

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB7320

Hi,

For TUSB7320, ask the following questions.

① What kind of terminal has AUX_DET function?

② What is the power supply for VDDA_3P3?

③ The resistance between XI and XO is recommended 2MΩ (7.3.2.3 External Crystal),
It is 1 M on the sample circuit of the data sheet. (Figure 10, Reference Design 1) which is better, 1M or 2M?

④ In the sample circuit (8.2.2.2 Downstream Ports Implementation)
It is not pulled up on the USB communication line, but is there no need for pulling up?

best regards

  • Hello,
    1) If auxiliary power is implemented on your system you need to pull-this terminal up to the Vaux.
    2) 3.3V, please see the Maximum and recommended electrical characteristics tables in the datasheet.
    3) The recommendation is to use 2M, however, depending on the crystal 1M will work as well, if your crystal works reliable with 1M then you can use 1M.
    4) The pull-up is supposed to be implemented by the far end device on its upstream port.
