Hello Team,

Please allow me to ask you about the DS125DF1610 operation.

When CDR is bypassed or disabled, is CTLE no more able to operate in adaptive ?

I believe adaptive CTLE is achieved by using CDR function, so I wanted to make sure how we should program the registers.

Hi Kawai-san,

The adaptive CTLE is only functional when CDR is enabled, since the EOM's HEO and VEO measurement determines the optimal CTLE boost setting.

If the CDR is bypassed, I recommend setting Channel Reg 0x31[6:5] = 00'b so that the device is in Adapt Mode 0 (no adaption), then set Reg 0x2D[3] = 1 to enable the EQ Boost override and then force the boost value with Reg 0x03.
