Hi,

from other threads in this forum I see that TI provide software to control DP159 register to generate eye-scan data.

How to get this sw?

Is the core (register access state machine) part available as source code that we can adapt it to our own implementation?

We use DP159 as a Displayport retimer (in X-mode) controlled by a FPGA embedded microcontroller and want to use this MC to capture the eye-scan data.

You can download EyeScan tool from TMDS181 product page, in tools and software section, we are working to place it in DP159 product page too.

Hi,
thanks, I have downloaded the tool.
How do I get insights on how to create the eye scan data by help of the register interface (e.g. a state machine controlling the register space)?
Can the corresponding part of the tools sw sources be shared?
If no, where can I find more usefull information (e.g. interrupt handling if needed) beside the register list in SN65DP159 datasheet?

Hi Enrico,

Are you looking for these procedure to implement it in a micro-controller?
There is no public data about eye diagram procedure, we have some complex code for MSP430 we could share, but we would need a FAE to ask for it or share your business case with our sales team.

yes, we are looking for a micro-controller implementation.
I will contact our FAE to start the process.

Will it work for X-mode Displayport configuration as well?
