TUSB4041 USB_VBUS

Hi,

In my new design i'm planning to use the TUSB4041 USB2.0 HUB.

The Up-stream port is permanently attached to an host (nVIDIA TK1) on board.

What should i connect to the USB_VBUS (Pin 16) input?

Is there a way to configure the device with no use of EEPROM or I2C, i want all ports to be open all the time.

Thanks,

Yorai Shmueli

  • Hello,
USB_VBUS should be connected to +5V through the voltage divider as specified in the datasheet.
All the ports are fully operational without any configuration of external EEPROM or SMBus, just look at the default values of the I/Os in the datasheet
