Hi,

Customer is using TPD4E05U06 to protect their ethernet port. From the ethernet connector, the signals go into transformer firstly and then to the ethernet PHY. Currnetly TPD4E05U06 is place between the transformer and the ethernet PHY as below. Can you suggest how to judge where is the best location to put TPD4E05U06? Do you see anything that can be improved from the attached schematics?

This looks like it should be a good schematic and design. As noted earlier, the best placement for the ESD device is as close to the output of the transformer and as far from the protected device as possible.
