When using an external clock, it's described in the TUSB3410 datasheet that XI terminal must not exceed 1.8V.

Our customer needs more detailed requirement for the XI input voltage.

Could you tell me the min & max XI input voltage for an external clock source?

Hello,
The input clock must be 1.8-V LVCMOS.
The specifications for XI input:
Min: 1.62 V
Nom: 1.8 V
Max: 1.98 V

When using an external clock, is it ok to use the internal regulator (/VREGEN = low)?
Is it acceptable that Max: 1.98V of XI input would exceed the internal regulator output voltage?

Yes, they can use an external Clock and the internal regulator at the same time.

When using a clock oscillator, the signal applied to the X1/CLKI terminal must not exceed 1.8 V.

Just in case, please let me confirm what you mean.

The specification for the XI/CLKI terminal:

Min: 1.62 V
Nom: 1.8 V
Max: 1.98 V

So it’s acceptable to apply 1.98V to the XI/CLKI terminal.

Is it correct?

Yes, that is correct, but i certainly recommend to maintain the value closer to 1.8 as much as possible.
