Our custmer is using TPS65982 for notebook application. This product is just started production.
On manufactureting, there is a test to check PD device connection. Customer mentioned that TPS65982 could not detect device in rare case (one in few hundred).
Interrupt event is generated when device is connected. After reciving interrupt, EC reads address 0x15 and 0x1A of TPS65982, but it seems that TPS65982 is not responding. EC retry reading these register then timeout after 230ms.
Note that EC can access to TPS65982 other than address 0x15 or 0x1A,.
Do you have any idea what kind of PDC condition cause such a phenomenon?
