DS280DF810 Raw mode questions

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS280DF810

We some questions regarding the operation in "raw" mode on DS280DF810.

For speeds outside the CDR locking range we set register 1E[7:5]=0 to pass the raw signal
to the output. When in this state:

  1. Is there a way to adjust the output signal? The standard Tx FIR registers does not seem to change the output.
  2. The channel cross-over fan-out mode does not seem to work when in this mode. Is it supposed to work?
  • Hi, see my input below:

    1. Is there a way to adjust the output signal? The standard Tx FIR registers does not seem to change the output.
      • The DS280DF810 has fixed VOD value when set to CDR byoass mode. FIR pre-cursor and post-cursor are not supported in this mode
    2. The channel cross-over fan-out mode does not seem to work when in this mode. Is it supposed to work?
      • Yes. The cross-point block precedes the CDR stage on the DS280DF810
