Question about DebugAccessory.SNK in TUSB320LAI

Hi Deigo,

During the evaluation of TUSB320LAI, I cannot find the TUSB320LAI to enter DebugAccessory.SNK state. Here is what I have done.

Run the TUSB320LAI in DRP mode
Connect the CC1/CC2 with 22k pull-up to 5V
The VBUS is applied early or almost same time with CC1/CC2 being pulled up with 22k resistor to 5V

However, I cannot find he TUSB320LAI to enter DebugAccessory.SNK state. please be noted that the register settings are default settings. Thanks in advance.

Hi Deigo,

Today I did more test on the accessory support. According to Type-C specification, the conditions to enter DebugAccessory.SNK state include:

Rp is detected at both CC1 and CC2 pins for tCCDebounce.
VBUS is detected.

However, according to my test, there are somethings strange:

If the above two conditions are met, the TUSB320LAI still cannot enter DebugAccessory.SNK state.
At the UFP mode with accessory support, if the CC1 and CC2 pins are connected to Rd, even if there is no VBUS, TUSB320LAI can enter DebugAccessory.SNK state.

Could you confirm that this behavior is present in more than one unit?

Hi Diego,

I have only evaluated at one unit. Do you mean the test results are abnormal? If yes, I may look for a new unit for evaluation. Thanks.
