I saw type-c spec, vconn can be disable/enable after discovery identity. So I check the response data for discovery identity have a information about vconn disable in AMA VDO. so i suppose VCONN should be control by this bit.

But in tps65982 (1.11.5)and tps65982d(patch6), it seems do not check the bit to disable/enable for vconn power.

Can you help me to double check this function? or this is my misunderstand.

Hi Kevin,

VCONN can be configured using register 0x28 "System Configuration". It can be set to be disabled (00b), reserved (01b), Supported as Source only (10b), or Supported as Source/Sink (11b).

Hi Eric,

The configuration set the PD ic if it support vconn or not and I think my problem is happened in PD protocol communication.

In the communication, tps65982 inform other side we support it, but it seems the behavior is some wrong and not follow spec as my mention.
