Hi Expert,

My customer is designing a new typeC docking project for Tier I PC OEM, they want to support Billboard+ USB firmware function. but according to TPS65982, the USB Billboard is support by USB_RP_P/N pins, but firmware is support via C_USB_TP/TN &C_USB_BP/BN PINs, If customer need both, how to implement it? Thanks!

Hi Fabian,

We do not support updating the firmware through the USB-C port. The firmware must be updated using the SPI pins through an external flash device.
As far as billboarding, you must enable "USB EP Enable", "USB RP Enable", and "USB 2.0 Endpoint Billboard Enable" in your System Configuration.
