TM4C1294NCPDT Compliance Testing

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TM4C1294NCPDT

We been work with the InterOperability Laboratory at the University of New Hampshire and testing one of our product for Fast Ethernet using TI Part: TM4C1294NCPDT and we are having some problems getting it to pass. It is our understanding that TI had this device tested at InterOperability Laboratory at the University of New Hampshire also! Could you put me in contact with Engineering that ran the testing or if there is any way we could get copies to the test results from the InterOperability Laboratory at the University of New Hampshire that was ran on the part.

  • Hi,
Are you using the internal PHY or connecting a discrete PHY?
Please send me the test report or let me know exactly what is failing at UNH.
    Kind regards,
    Ross
  • Hi,

The part we are using is your TM4C1294NCPDT that is Internal PHY.

The areas that we are failing at UNH IOL are:

Clause 28 Auto-Negotiation State Machine Test Suite

28.4.4 – Link Integrity and RD Active
    d. The DUT was observed to improperly not establish a 100BASE-TX link. The DUT was also observed to improperly establish a 10BASE-T link after receiving 10BASE-T frames preceded by NLPs sent for less than autoneg_wait_timer and 100BASE-TX signaling.

    Clause 40 Auto-Negotiation Auto-Crossover Test Suite v2.3

40.1.1 – Setting and Resetting of Link_Det with Auto-Negotiation Enabled
    a. The DUT was observed to properly transmit and remain on the opposite channel from which it was receiving when it was receiving on its MDI-X channel. When receiving on its MDI channel, the DUT was observed to improperly transmit on the same channel that it was receiving.

    Thanks for your help!
