TPS65983: TPS65983 Tool issue for v2.12

Dear Sir

I have 2 question

1. When I use the latest version 2.12.1 of TPS65983

The output current can't be set and modify ,May I know is this correct ?? (in the version 2.10 ,the output current can be set and modify)

2. May I know what "VBUS system power" and "Vbus extra power's mean"??

Due to TPS65983 0x38's register is not the same with TPS65982

Have any document to explain it ??

Hi Kai,

There is a new version of the TPS65983 Application Customization Tool (2.14) that has resolved this issue. Please download it from TI's My Secure Software and install.

1. Please refer to below ,I use 2.14 version ,but sill can't change the current rating ,you can see below fixed 15W ,does it request by Intel for fixed 15W??

2. I don't know what's Source Policy Master's mean ,have any document explain it ??

Hi Kai,

Please open a New Project and use the "TPS65983_Intel_apex_creek_v2_14.tpl" This template will allow you to edit the current rating for each PDO.

Hi Kai,

The Source Policy Master is used to share power between two ports.
VBUS System power highlights the total power available.
VBUS Maximum Power is the maximum power the source can share with the sink.
VBUS Minimum Power is the minimum power the source can share with the sink.
VBUS Extra Power is the extra power after the source is at a 5V 3A contract.
