DS90UH947-Q1: EMI Optimization, Spread Specturm

Part Number: DS90UH947-Q1

Hi Team,

I am creating a link using the DS90UH947-Q1 and the DS90UH928-Q1. When I run the BIST for the 928, my EMI looks good. When I connect my link using the 947, there is a harmonic around 400MHz. Is there any sort of spread spectrum (SSCG) or anything of the sort to help with this EMI?

Thank you,

Jared

  • Hi Jared,

There is no SSCG feature in these devices - typically that would only be on our parallel LVCMOS output deserializers such as DS90UH926.

BIST requires that a serializer be connected, so I'm not sure if that experiment was valid (if my understanding is correct). What is the PCLK frequency? You might be able to try stand alone pattern generator on the 928 using the internal oscillator (no serializer connected) as an alternate test to see if the OLDI outputs are the problem.

    Thanks,
    Jason
