TPD4E02B04: ESD Protection Circuit Question.

Part Number: TPD4E02B04

Hi,

I am planning to use TPD4E02B04.

In the data sheet of TPD4E02B04, the 6, 7, 8, 10 pin is stated as Not Connect.

However, in the circuit diagram inside A TPD4E02B04 Evaluation Module User's Guide , it seems to be connected to the IO pin respectively.

Should IO1 (Pin 1) and NC (Pin 10) be short-circuited?

best regards,

  • Hello-

The TPD4E02B04 NC pins are not bonded out inside of the device, so it does not matter at all if they are short circuited to the IO pins. We included the pin placement to allow for easy pass-through routing like in the example below:

Depending on what is easier for your layout, either short the NC pins or avoid them and the device performance should be the same.

    Thanks,

    Alec

  • Alec-

Although wrote NCpin, I was wondering because it was short-circuited.
    Thanks for the reply.

    Thank you.
