Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD4E001,
Hi Sir,
Looks TPD4E1U06 and TPD4E001 are pin compatible but TPD4E001 need VDD supply.
May I know how to choose TPD4E1U06 and TPD4E001 ? depend on application?

Hi Wen Yung,
For these two mentioned devices, they are indeed pin-to-pin compatible. Comparing with the TPD4E001, the TPD4E1U06 offers a higher IEC ESD protection, 15kV over 8kV for contact ESD. The TPD4E1U06 also has a lower capacitance and lower clamping voltage than the TPD4E001. Conversely, the TPD4E001 has higher surge protection capabilities than the TPD4E001.
The main selection factors that I believe will help you distinguish which to choose:
-Application (FireWire, USB2.0, SATA, etc)
-Level of IEC protection needed
-Cost sensitivity
-Operating environment for operation temperature considerations
I hope this helps!
Very Respectfully,
Brian Dempsey
