DP83848K: Signal conditioning function of TX block

Hello,

In the block diagram, there is the DAC in the TX side.
Can we adjust this output via register of DP83848K?
I found the digital adaptive equalization function for RX side but I couldn't found similar function or register of TX side.

Hi Ryuji-san,

What is the goal of adjusting the DAC in the TX side? Are you trying to adjust Vod of the line driver or do something advanced like provide pre-emphasis?

We have a limited control of the Vod in the DP83848, but we cannot control pre-emphasis.

Hello Rob san,

Currently our customer evaluate our DP83848K on datasheet level.
They would like to adjust the Vod and slew rate if they meet any problem.

Hi Ryuji-san,

Are they expecting to meet a problem with emissions? If so we recommend layout changes when emissions problems are encountered instead of VOD control. We cannot control slew rate.
